Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences

The Museum offers facilitated sessions on a variety of topics for Early Years through to KS3. Schools and groups are also welcome to book a self-led visit. A range of loan boxes are available to use outside the Museum and there are accompanying resources that can be used in either the classroom, with your group or in the Museum on a self-led visit.

Our Education Coordinator is available to help you plan your visit or talk through classroom work on your topic. From dinosaurs, to the rock cycle or volcanoes, we have tips and resources that you might find helpful. Send an email using the details below to book a planning session.

Your visit could be combined with another University Cambridge Museum, several of the Museum's are close by to the Sedgwick Museum such as Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and Museum of Zoology

Teacher Training

The University of Cambridge Museums (UCM) are working together to provide new training opportunities for teachers to learn more about getting the most out of museum visits - look out for INSET sessions on the UCM website.
