Everest at 70

29th May 2023 marks the 70th Anniversary of the first successful ascent of Mt Everest. To commemorate the occasion, the Museum has installed new audio labels about the geology of the summit and a unique piece of limestone collected by Sir Edmund Hillary on that day.
